Logical Therapeutics Inc. Launches Operations with Seed Capital from PA Early Stage Partners

Logical Therapeutics, Inc., a privately held company specializing in inflammation, announced today that it has completed a Seed round of financing in partnership with PA Early Stage Partners.

Logical Therapeutics is an early stage biotechnology company developing novel therapeutic agents to treat medical conditions caused by poorly controlled or excessive inflammatory responses. “The initial funding and our investors at PA Early Stage provide the resources we need to initiate operations, secure certain intellectual property rights and begin to execute on our clinical development strategy,” stated Carolyn E. Green, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Logical Therapeutics. “We look forward to working with PA Early Stage to build another high quality life sciences company in the Pittsburgh region.”

We’ve known the founding management for many years now, and are looking forward to working with them to build success.” Logical Therapeutics was founded by Ms. Green and Mitchell P. Fink, MD. Mr. Fink was also a founder of Critical Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: CRTX), located in Cambridge, MA.

Concurrent with the closing, Ms. Green will join the company full time, leaving her position of five years as the founding Director of the Office of Enterprise Development, Health Sciences, at the University of Pittsburgh.
